INTRODUCTION


The Medan Heaven is selling two types of food. That is Lontong Medan and Nasi Gurih. Our project is more focused on Lontong Medan because we get the best feedback for it. And our customers also demanding for Lontong Medan when compared to Nasi Gurih.

Lontong is an Indonesian dish made of compressed rice cake in the form of a cylinder wrapped inside a banana leaf pairing with thick peanut sauces and curries. It serves as the base for this savory morning favorite, a coconut-milk curry made with young papaya, soy-braised tofu and hard-boiled eggs.

Recipe Lontong Vegetable Medan is Complete Simple Specialty Special. The medan vegetable ‘alay’ is one of the most complete, not only the vegetable but also its flesh. It even defeats the ‘lontong cap gomeh’ and ‘lontong sayur padang. Given the complete and special ingredients like this when lazy eating rice can also occasionally enjoy the lush lontong of medan heaven is directly full if you see the portion size.

Lontong rice can use plastic lontong recipes, banana leaves, or using ketupat. With the shrimp plus tauco

To get savory and fragrant rice use a new coconut and enough (canned coconut or ready to be tasteless)
while to get the aroma obtained by giving  aromatic spices such as sereh, salam leaves, pandanus
and some also give the leaves of purut. It's best not to cook ‘Nasi Gurih’ with rice cooker, cook it 
with a ‘caraaron cooker’ then steaming will give the best result, its rice is whole and soft.
So two things to keep in mind to get a good ‘Nasi Gurih’ is how to cook and brew it. In addition 
to Medan’s Nasi Gurih is very popular with this tasty, delicious and nutritious rice. 

Medan's ‘Nasi Gurih’ is very well-known besides the typical aroma of spices and spices ‘Nasi Gurih’ 
is often used as a main menu when breakfast Medan people. This ‘Nasi Gurih’ is as sweet and

MANAGEMENT TEAM
               
The company’s founding members is consisted by group of members with each one specialized in their own field. Vetheswary and Hadi plays a role in the Marketing and IT Department, she handle our social medias like Instagram, whats app. Hadi was responsible in designing our logo. Both of them manages all promotional activities. Harith is in the Sales Department and he was responsible in selling our products collect the ordered foods from wholesaler. As for the Vinishaa, she’s  in the Finance Department and she manages our budget and controls the cash flow.

OPERATING HOURS:
Our operating hours was every day, starting from 10am to 9pm. More customers preferred the food to be delivered at evening due to ‘puasa. We also give chances to customers for order food earlier and the food will be delivered at the time and date that requested by our customers. We tried our best to give the best service for our customers.

OPERATING LOCATION:
Due to our delivery service we don’t have specific operating location for our project. Because of we're getting the food from the wholesaler we couldn't open a booth at IUMW cafe. But we tried to sells the food to the students, staffs, and lecturers at IUMW. Other than that we also sold at McDonalds (colleagues).

MARKET SEGMENTATION
Geographic Segmentation - 
The prospects are segregated on the basis of the close range to certain areas and locations. We have provided deliver service to the customers if it needs to hand deliver the products to their homes. Under such circumstances, this segmentation helped us to determine the pricing because some places are easier to reach than others.
Demographic Segmentation –
Demographic segmentation is the basis of gender, age, education, income and so on. We generally map “benefits” of our products to groups with some specific dimensional values (teenagers, workers) and then we create a marketing mix to serve each segment.
Behavioral Segmentation – 
The behavioral segmentation is real time technique through on how customers react to our advertisements and offers. We have also received some orders through advertisement on Instagram and some good comments for our food and service.

CUSTOMER BEHAVIOR 
Customer behavior is very important because it helps to learn about the business’s strengths and weaknesses. Our customers are highly satisfied with our product and price. Some of the customers also have reordered the ‘Lontong Medan’ because of the taste. Mostly all the customers has given good feedback for the taste of food. We always more focused on our customer satisfaction.

MARKETING STRATEGY
  • Social media 
Aside from having an incredibly large reach, Instagram advertising is effective because when consumers are on social media, they are in their “happy place” and naturally more receptive to brands. They may not be actively shopping for something, but they are in a state of engagement with a desire to consume information. More importantly, Instagram has a wealth of psychographic information on its users. This makes for unprecedented targeting capabilities to ensure your ads appear in front of very specific (and therefore very receptive) audiences, getting the highest return on the investment. social media remains one of the most effective and free business marketing channels. It’s also an ideal place to show off our product. We mostly market only on the platforms relevant to our target audience.



  • packaging

For the marketing strategy we used product packaging. Because Customers always judge the product by the packaging, especially in the food and beverage industry. Product packaging is one of the most crucial marketing strategies on which we focused on in our project. And our customers loved our packaging too.Unique Selling Point was the taste of 'lontong medan' and the side dishes of 'nasi guih'


SOCIAL MEDIA HELPS THE MARKETING STRATEGY
social media helps us in many ways. one is we get a booking for the food we sell when we post pictures in whats app and Instagram. some customers also give feedback via comments that they are satisfied with the price and also the foodSocial media is also pleasing to our work from getting orders from the customers because most of the order we get  via the social media.Social media allows businesses to be in direct contact with target customer. Social media marketing is inexpensive and gives brands instant reach to billions of active users. For these reasons, social media has proven to be one of the most effective channels to promote products online. However, with every business aware of it, competition on social media has become intense. To overcome competition, it is important that we leverage latest trends & techniques and promote our product on social media creatively and consistently.

CONTRIBUTION
Due to This is the holy month for the Muslims, we have decided to contribute some of our profit to the mosque to celebrate their “Buka Puasa” ceremony. so that we have contributed some beverage to the mosque to celebrate their Fasting which conducted by our working management (McDonalds RMHC).

Product: When developing a product we should consider quality, packaging, customer service and any subsequent after-sales serviceIn diversifying its product lines, the company satisfies market demand, improves its revenues, and spreads risk in its business. 
Place: This is where and how you deliver your “product”.This can be the restaurant, delivery, internet orders, phone orders, from a cart/kiosk, a mobile truck, or cateringPlace is in regards to distribution, location and methods of getting our products to our customer. This includes the location (IUMW) of where we chooses to sell our products directly to consumers.
Price: Price concerns the amount of money that customers must pay in order to purchase our food. pricing should be contingent upon what it costs to produce, market, and cover expenses. Also need to consider what your market will bear And all the customers are satisfied with the price because of the taste of food.
Promotion: Promotion refers to the act of communicating the benefits and value of our product to the customers.Sales promotions are used to draw more customers to the company’s. It then involves persuading general consumers to become customers of our food using methods such as advertising (social media).

CHALLENGES AND OBSTACLES


  • Time clashes
We faced a lot of time clashes because of the different courses and different timing of the classes. Due to this problem we couldn’t meet up our group members for the discussion of project. Meetings are typical even it’s a necessity for any successful of project. Meeting is a part where opportunities for members of the team to exchange ideas and discuss objectives. But because of the time clashes, and group members carelessness we couldn’t make it possible. And also the team members didn’t attend the entrepreneurship class even we planned to discuss about the project in the class.


  • Communication
Our team had a lot of lack in communication; because of each person having different taught on their own perspectives. Because of that we faced a lot of conflicts whenever there’s a discussion about the project. Moreover, some of the team members are not satisfied with the ideas whatever we discussed at all the time.


  • Team work
There's no teamwork in our team. Team members didn't cooperate for this project. For example, no reply for any of the texts, calls. They lose to show their interest in this project from the first day until the end. In a project the team members themselves have to possess high emotional intelligence so that others will know they interact with each other with the least amount of friction. But in our team the members didn’t cooperative with us


  • Wholesaler

We faced some problem in pricing part with our wholesalers. Our wholesaler were keep changing and increasing the prices time to time. We are also faced with the great obstacles that our wholesalers have passed away and the shop was closed. Because of the shop closed, we couldn’t serve our customers whenever they want to repeat the orders. Due to this problem we searched for another wholesaler to serve our customers with good taste of food. 

CONCLUSION
From this overall project we had learned a lot of things. First, we have learned how to run a business even though we have a conflict with our partners and how to choose the best and right partners for the organization. Secondly, we learned about the customer satisfaction based on our product quality, packaging, prices and more because most of the customers are liked our packaging and there are some customers who are really fussy about the packaging also due to our product contains of liquid so the customers was so consent about their food. More than that we have learned how to prevent our business from variety of challenges. For example just stated at the up, we have lost our wholesaler and we had to search for the new wholesaler  because there are some customer reordered the product. Other than that we also have to be a broad minded person and have to be a good listener whenever we are working in group. Because every person will have different perspective of ideas. Lastly, we also have learned the marketing strategies that have to be used to develop a business, and how to make the customer satisfied and to make them become a loyal customer to our business.
